FitClub Mobile is a mobile application for a fictional client FitClub, a membership based gym chain. FitClub is well established with physical locations but wants to expand into the digital space to draw in younger more tech savvy demographics. The user group targeted are more comfortable with using mobile applications, who are also physically active (or want to be). New users want to take their time to look over benefits of joining the gym without someone hovering over their shoulder or given an elevator pitch and expected to make quick decisions. Active gym club members have the advantage of storing their membership card digitally (eliminating the need to carry around a physical copy) and managing their membership from their phone and can easily locate their default gym or find the nearest gym to their current location.
For the minimum viable product of the FitClub Mobile application the client wanted to users to be able to sign up current members by linking their membership to the app, create and purchase new memberships, renew expired memberships, manage account, and locate clubs. New features after the first phase would include notifications, tracking fitness activity, and scheduling classes for additional convenience to users.
